Accessible Guided Walk: Waterhall Park

Waterhall Park

Sunday 14 July
11am to 12pm
Free
Adults only

Join our friendly staff on this exploratory guided walk of Waterhall Park in Milton Keynes on Sunday 14th July at 11am. With the route designed to be accessible for walking and wheeling, everyone is welcome to attend. We will meet at Mill Road Car Park, and then walk around this wildlife haven on the outskirts of the city. Along the way you will learn about Milton Keynes wildlife and The Parks Trust.

The walk will last roughly 1 hour and covers approximately 1.5miles. There are some benches along the route for rest stops. We will use surfaced paths which can be bumpy in localised areas, but we will be avoiding large slopes. Please get in touch to tell us how we can support your accessibility requirements. A hearing loop is available on request.

Getting here: There is a free car park at Mill Road, off Larch Grove. What3Words /// before.button.honey.

Drop-off/pick-up: You should instruct the driver to navigate to Coronation Hall, Bletchley, then turn left and then right to stay on Mill Road. Head over the canal bridge and into the car park.

Toilets: Unfortunately there are no toilets available in this park.

Refreshments: There is no cafe in the park.

Route Information: View the detailed route on PlotaRoute.

Vision Impairments

Our team will be happy to help guide you through the walk. Please let them know how you prefer to be guided. The conversation will be descriptive to help you visualise features of the park, and we will identify hazards in advance. We are happy to meet you from a drop-off location if you let us know the time and place.

Hearing Impairments

A portable hearing loop system is available upon request from accessibility@theparkstrust.com. Our staff will also have use of a voice amplifier.

Wheelchair Users

The routes have been selected to be more wheelchair-accessible, however they may still be some hazards along the route. We will avoid muddy paths and steep slopes.

Neurodiversity

We hope that the walk will be a calm and peaceful experience. We will make use of different senses to enjoy the natural environment.
