There are a huge number of ways to stay fit in the parks. The groups listed below are among those running organised fitness sessions in our parks. You can also visit the Walking and Running pages in this section or download a walking trail or activity sheet from the resources section of this site.

Everyday Activity Project

The Everyday Activity Project is about incorporating physical activity into your everyday life. It’s currently recommended that adults should be completing 30 minutes or at least three bouts of 10 minutes of moderate exercise five or more times a week in order to stay healthy.

Boot Camp

Boot Camp is a fitness and training class based in Campbell Park and is available for everybody whatever their level of fitness. The classes are run by independent personal trainers Simon A Williams and Lou Atkinson.  Boot camp was started as a way to give people the choice of doing something different to the normal gym/aerobic class regime and create an enjoyable atmosphere while exercising.

No Boot Camp is ever the same so you never know what is coming; session after session or week after week. You’ll meet new people and whatever your ability -  whether you can do one or 100 press ups - there will be someone else there like you!

A block of five Boot Camps costs £20 and you will have an experienced, professional and dedicated personal trainer as the Drill Instructor to help, guide and advise you. If you are still not sure then why not book a single session for £5 then come along for a taster of what we do.

Boot Camp currently runs three times a week:

  • Tuesday – 6.30pm
  • Thursday – 6.30pm
  • Saturday – 10:00 am

Bootcamp MK

Bootcamp MK is a great varied workout based in Campbell Park on Tuesday and Friday evenings. For just £5 per session we incorporate running, circuit training, boxing and games in the hour sessions with a great group of people. All abilities are welcome. FreshFitmk Fitness Classes

Our Outdoor Circuit training sessions take place twice a week starting from the Peace Pagoda, Willen Lake north (link to park page). All levels of fitness are welcome.

  • Tuesday – 7.30-8.30pm
  • Thursday – 7.30-8.30pm

Boxing-focused fitness classes take place once a month on Saturday mornings at the Peace Pagoda, Willen Lake North. All levels of fitness and experience are welcome. Come along on the first Saturday of each month - all proceeds from the class are donated to Willen Hospice. (minimum donation £4.50)

  • First Saturday of month – 9.30-10.30am

British Military Fitness

Operating since 1999, we have over 100 venues including our venue at Campbell Park in Milton Keynes.  We offer fun, motivational and effective military style fitness classes for all ability groups.  All our instructing staff have an armed forces background and are experts at getting the best out of people.  We never shout down to clients and foster a supportive and motivational atmosphere within the class group.  

  • Tuesday – 7.00pm
  • Tuesday – 7.30pm
  • Thursday – 7.00pm
