Parks and Run
Our popular Parks and Run programme has been going for more than two decades now. Parks and Run is a monthly programme of fun runs for all ages and abilities. Events usually take place on the first Sunday of each month starting at 10.00am. Each month the event moves to a different park, giving you the chance to explore new places and new sights. There’s always a choice of distances, ranging from 2km for beginners to 10km for the fittest runners, and all routes are circular. Routes can be downloaded from each monthly entry on the events calendar. Taking part is free and there’s no need to pre-book: just turn up!
Please note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult or have written permission signed by parent/guardian to take part.

Parkrun
Parkrun is a free weekly 5km run based at Willen Lake every Saturday morning at 9am. For more information, visit the site http://www.parkrun.org.uk/MiltonKeynes
Running Clubs
MK Lakeside Runners is a small running club of fun runners.
Our aims stretch from:
- Training from scratch (complete beginners) to 5k
- Maintaining just 5k
- Maintaining just 10k
- Training up to half marathon
- Training up to marathon.
We encourage members to run three times a week, two sessions with the club on Mondays and Wednesdays and then one arranged session amongst themselves. We run sessions for beginners and improvers at Willen Lake on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
- Beginners and improvers at 6.15pm
- Improvers at 7.30pm.
Separate schedules are set up for members training up to 10k from 5k, Half marathon from 10k, and marathon from 10k, but any other member can participate in the training.
