Where: Caldecotte Lake, in the Caldecotte Arms car park – meet at the Santander docking station, MK7 8HP.

When: Every Sunday from 3rd June – 30 September

What time : Meet at 10am. You’ll be taken on a 1 – 1.5 hour circular route.

June Bike Month - Get Cycling MK Guided Rides - Exploring our Cultural Trails

Every Saturday in June we’ll be offering guided bike rides around 5 new cultural trails.

All rides are at a leisurely pace with plenty of time to stop on route to take in the view, visit a cultural destination or park up for a picnic. These rides are perfect for anyone. We warmly welcome beginners, families, those wanting to find a new cycle routes, explore MK or be around like minded people.

Our rides are led by very friendly, experienced and knowledgeable cyclists. We ride at the pace of the group and never leave anyone behind.

Where: Starting locations will vary every week. The schedule is below or you can visit our website www.getcyclingmk.org and check the events page for more information.

What time: Meet at 10am, expect to return around 1 / 2pm

How far: Approximately 10 miles (with interesting stops on route)

Saturday, 2 June – Meet at Great Linford Shops. MK14 5HA by the Santander Cycles MK docking station,

Saturday 9 June – Meet at Caldecotte Lake, Caldecotte Arms, MK7 8HP by the Santander Cycles MK docking station.

Saturday 16 June – Meet at Willen Shops, MK15 9JL by the Santander Cycles MK docking station.

Saturday 23 June – Meet at MK Museum, McConnell Drive, Wolverton, Milton Keynes MK12 5EL

Saturday 30 June – Meet at the Santander Cycles MK docking station at Fulmer St, Shenley Church End, Milton Keynes MK5 6HP

Booking on all rides is essential. Please use the Let’s Ride website to secure your place on a ride.

No bike? No problem! All of our rides depart from a Santander Cycles MK docking station. If you require a Santander Cycle simply register with Santander Cycles MK before the ride, email cycling@milton-keynes.gov.uk to let us know that you need a bike and we’ll make sure there is one available for you. Register now, ride today!

    Located at the heart of Milton Keynes, Campbell Park hosts many of Milton Keynes’ major festivals and events. Its imaginative mix of formal gardens, water features, woodland and open pasture mean it’s an ideal spot to enjoy the changing seasons.

    Refreshments
    There are no refreshment facilities in Campbell Park other than during special events. However, there are a wealth of cafes, bars and restaurants in the nearby city centre, theatre district and Xscape centre.

    Furzton Lake’s open views make it a popular choice for joggers, cyclists and walkers. Created to act as a basin for floodwaters during rainy spells, the lake has matured into an easily accessible and peaceful oasis for local residents, office workers and wildlife.

    Refreshments
    The Furzton Lake Hotel is open for meals, snacks and hot and cold drinks.

  • Great Linford Manor Park

    Great Linford Manor Park is a special, heritage-rich park set within the old village of Great Linford. It contains features that were first laid out centuries ago, including ponds and a Wilderness Garden which represent the English Landscape style of garden design that became popular for country estates during the 18th Century.

    Refreshments
    Refreshments and food can be found nearby at The Black Horse and the Nag’s Head which are open for lunch and supper. Milton Keynes Arts Centre has a small café where drinks can be purchased.
