Trim Trail at Lodge Lake

The trim trail at Lodge Lake is designed to be used by adults wishing to supplement their workout with strength and balance exercises.

The Trim Trail features 6 stations: Pull Up Bars, Climbing A-Frame, Balance Beams, Rolling Log, Wobble Beam, and Ladder Climb.

The Rolling Log and the Wobble Beam stations feature equipment that moves when used. This provides a great way to challenge your balance and core strength, but please be aware of this movement before using the equipment.

This trim trail was funded in part by Loughton and Great Holm Parish Council and is owned and maintained by The Parks Trust.

Lodge Lake is one of the city's ‘on-line’ balancing lakes. It was created in 1981 by building a dam across the Loughton Brook. This holds back water as flow rates in the brook increase, helping to prevent flooding in downstream areas. The lake is perfect for a short outing - a gentle walk around the lake edge takes about 30 minutes - with plenty of interest on and off the water year-round.
