Easter Opening Hours at Our Education Centres
Many of us are hoping to spend some of the Easter holiday outside, enjoying the spectacular green spaces across Milton Keynes.
If you’re keen to find out more about some of the city’s most ecologically diverse, impressive landscapes, we recommend paying a visit to Howe Park Wood and Linford Lakes, both of which will be opening their education centres for limited periods over the Easter break.
Howe Park Wood, an ancient woodland which has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, will open its education centre on the 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th April 2019 between 10.30am and 3.00pm. Visitors can find out more about this fascinating wood, which is renowned for its beautiful display of bluebells at this time of year, and take part in our Wildlife Detective Trail. View poster.
Meanwhile, Linford Lakes Nature Reserve will open its education centre on Thursday 11th and 18th April 2019 between 10.30am and 3.00pm. This peaceful site is perhaps one of Milton Keynes’ best kept secrets and is generally only open to permit holders or on its monthly open Sundays. It attracts many diverse species of birds and waterfowl, including rarer visitors such as Great White Egret and Short Eared Owl. View poster.
Both of these sites offer ample opportunities for exploring impressive and diverse landscapes, all for free and on your doorstep in Milton Keynes.
