This year, we're are unable to host our annual Christmas carol concert, this popular event usually gives people the opportunity to come together and get into the festive spirit, but due to the covid-19 restrictions, this is unable to go ahead.

With this being the case, we still wanted to be able to spread some festive joy that can be enjoyed safely from the comfort of home. That’s why we've teamed up with Arts1 Performing Arts School to bring you a virtual rendition of some of our favourite Christmas tunes.

On Sunday 20 December at 7.30pm you’ll be able to watch this virtual Christmas Carol concert via our Facebook channel. This mini concert will be about 20 minutes long and will include a mix of contemporary and classic Christmas songs such as ‘Have yourself a merry little Christmas’ and ‘Silent Night’.

All of the carols are sung by members of Arts1 Performing Arts School and feature performers of all ages from their 7-year-old soloists right up to their adult choir. Each of the songs has been recorded in a different park so not only will you enjoy some amazing carolling, you’ll also be able to see some beautiful parkland in Milton Keynes such as the Tree Cathedral, the Concrete Cows at Bancroft and Great Linford Manor Park.

Our annual carols are a very popular event for The Parks Trust, and we’re saddened not to be able to do them this year. We created this virtual event to hopefully get you into the Christmas spirit as well as giving our local singers the opportunity to showcase their talents in a year where so many performances have been cancelled.

Our mini Christmas Carol concert can be watched live on our Facebook channel on Sunday 20th December, but if you can’t us, we will also upload the video to our YouTube channel and share the video again in the week before Christmas.
