Join local wildlife experts and nature-loving novices alike in the search for species living on your doorstep at the Howe Park Wood 24-hour BioBlitz! We’ll be recording everything from minute mini-beasts to marvellous mammals, seeking out species hiding in the ponds, grassland, orchard and ancient woodland habitats at Howe Park Wood.

Turn up any time throughout the day (between 9am and 5pm) if you want to have a go at recording what you find in the wood.

Alteratively, we do have a number of free guided sessions which you can book onto below;

7am - Dawn Chorus - Suitable for all ages

8am - Moth Morning - Suitable for all ages

9.15pm - Bat Walk - Adults only

Meet at Howe Park Wood Education Centre, off H7 Chaffron Way. MK4 3GG at 9.15pm.

Limited parking spaces available at Howe Park Wood Education Centre. Please use Westcroft District Centre opposite the park for further parking.

    Howe Park is probably the woodland mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086. Parts of it may be rare surviving fragments of the 'wildwood' that covered the whole of lowland Britain after the last Ice Age, 6-11,000 years ago.

    There is a café at Howe Park Wood serving cakes, drinks and cold foods.
