Calling MK businesses and organisations to take part in the inaugural Milton Keynes Rose Pancake Race.  Taking place on Shrove Tuesday, 25th February 2020, the Milton Keynes Rose Project Team are calling on local businesses to take on the challenge of a relay race in Campbell Park.  Teams of four are invited to bring their baton (a frying pan!) and a pancake and be ready to compete for the title of MK Rose Pancake Winners!

Entry fee is just £50 per team and the race will start at 11.55am to match the time on the pillar at the Milton Keynes Rose which celebrates the famous race in Olney.

Debbie Brock, Chair of Cenotaph Trust said; “We are really looking forward to seeing this race in Campbell Park.  We are proud of our Shrove Tuesday pillar and can’t wait to see which local organisation will win the inaugural Pancake Relay Race trophy”

All proceeds from the event will go to fund future Milton Keynes Rose projects including 2 new pillars which will be engraved later this year.

    The Milton Keynes Rose located in our central city park Campbell Park, is a public space designed for commemoration, celebration and contemplation. Developed in partnership by The Parks Trust and the Cenotaph Trust, with support from Milton Keynes Council, the Milton Keynes Rose was created as a central civic space to host events significance and occasions of remembrance.

    There are no refreshment facilities at this site but the cafes and restaurants located at centre:mk are just a short walk away.
