Orienteering June 2020

10am
£5 for individuals and families
All ages

In orienteering you navigate your way between control points marked on a specially drawn map. While there are plenty of people who enjoy the sport competitively, racing between posts in the fastest possible time, it’s perfectly OK to enjoy orienteering at your own pace, whatever your age or level of fitness – and you’ll see more of the parks that way. But you could also get together with members of your club, school or even neighbourhood to organise a competition.

Join South Midlands Orienteering Club for monthly orienteering event. This month's event takes place at Furzton Lake Park.

Park in the ‘star’ car park, off V4 Watling Street, opposite the National Bowl.

Furzton Lake’s open views make it a popular choice for joggers, cyclists and walkers. Created to act as a basin for floodwaters during rainy spells, the lake has matured into an easily accessible and peaceful oasis for local residents, office workers and wildlife.
