Setsubun is the day before the beginning of spring in Japan. The name literally means "seasonal division", but usually the term refers to the spring Setsubun, properly called Risshun celebrated yearly as part of the Spring Festival. Celebrate the start of Spring by chasing out negative spirits with beans and inviting in the positive with sweets!

Park in the Peace Pagoda car park, off V10 Brickhill Street. Parking charges apply.

Willen Lake North is home to one of Milton Keynes’ best-known landmarks, the first Peace Pagoda to be built in the western world - and to a rich and varied bird population.

Nearest refreshments are at the Lakeside Hotel and Cafe (weekends and school holidays) at South Willen Lake. The Camphill Community runs a vegetarian café opposite the main car park.
