Milton Keynes Community Boat Electra in partnership with The Parks Trust are delighted to launch Milton Keynes’ first Walk & Glide Festival! A wonderful opportunity to discover more of the hidden delights of Milton Keynes, on foot and on water. You Glide quietly one way on Electra and Walk the other.

A Walk One Way (WOW) cruise gliding along the Grand Union canal on Electra, Milton Keynes’ new all-electric trip boat, allows you to go further and explore more of Milton Keynes’ wonderful parkland. Enjoy a drink on board too. Electra has small card-only Galley Bar on board serving hot, cold and alcoholic drinks, plus a few snacks.

Each walk will be led by an experienced Parks Trust Walk Leader who will also join you on the boat, sharing what they know about the canalside. All walks are roughly 3 miles long and will take about an hour, with some short stops to look at points of interest. Please ensure you come dressed appropriately for the weather and with sturdy footwear as it may be wet/muddy in areas. Some of the paths may be unsurfaced and very uneven so unfortunately these walks may not be suitable for wheelchairs and some mobility issues.

There is an option of 4 routes on each day. The boat will be heading South from Campbell Wharf of Saturday 16 October, stopping at Simpson and Waterhall Park. On Sunday 17 October we head North, stopping at Great Linford and New Bradwell.

Booking essential and spaces are limited.
