Prices from £1.00
Suitable for all ages
Booking required

Join us at Lodge Lake with your four-legged friends for a group dog walk around the lake with one of our rangers.  A great way to exercise and socialise your dog on this hour walk with plenty of poo bins on route!  The route will take you from Lodge Lake along some of the Loughton Valley and back to the meeting point at the Lodge Lake car park.  One of our prettiest lakes, summer is a nice time for a dog walk here with lots of shade from the trees and many water birds to view.

Meet at the car park on Bradwell Road, just off H4 Dansteed Way

Lodge Lake is one of the city's ‘on-line’ balancing lakes. It was created in 1981 by building a dam across the Loughton Brook. This holds back water as flow rates in the brook increase, helping to prevent flooding in downstream areas. The lake is perfect for a short outing - a gentle walk around the lake edge takes about 30 minutes - with plenty of interest on and off the water year-round.

    Refreshments
None on site; the nearest shops are located in Great Holm about five minutes’ walk to the west. A Chinese restaurant, the Kam Tong Garden, overlooks the lake.
