Linford Lakes Nature Reserve is a great place to visit with your group and learn about wildlife and nature. We provide a range of activities to help you work towards badges, explore the natural environment or just do something fun! Some of the activities we can offer include:

  • Pond dipping (Apr-Oct)
  • Bug hunting (Mar-Oct)
  • Bat walks (Sept-Oct)
  • Bug hotels (Year round)
  • Bird feeders (Year round)
  • Shelter building (Year round)
  • Seasonal guided walks (Year round)

Charges for these sessions are £2.50 per child.

Booking your visit

Subject to availability, we can run sessions in the evenings, on weekends and in the school holidays. To make an enquiry please complete the below form.     The 37 hectare site consists of a large lake, reedbeds, wet woodland and several small meadows interlaced with a number of smaller lakes and ponds. Four bird watching hides are located giving fine views of the wildlife and beautiful scenery.

    Refreshments
    There are no refreshment facilities at Linford Lakes Nature Reserve other than during special events.
