Can I book a school trip to your parkland?

We run a range of sessions for school groups. Information, enquiries and a link to our booking system are online for primary or secondary. If you cannot find the information you are seeking, please contact the Outdoor Learning Team on 01908 233600 or email: outdoorlearning@theparkstrust.com. Schools can also use The Parks Trust land independently, but you will need to contact our events team to arrange a license here.

Do you run your sessions on school grounds?

As part of our charitable remit, we are concerned in getting people out into the parks, so we do not offer sessions on school grounds.  We can however provide your school with an assembly on a variety of topics.  Please contact the Outdoor Learning Team with your enquiry for an assembly for either primary or secondary schools.

What session do you offer?

All our activities can be found via the primary or secondary school webpages.  Please contact the Outdoor Learning team to discuss your requirements further on 01908 233600 or outdoorlearning@theparkstrust.com

What are the charges?

A two hour session for a class of 30 children costs £3 per head for a session in the parks.  If you would like to have your activities at one of our education centres, the charge is £5 per head for a two hour session or £7.50 for a whole day (one session in morning and one in afternoon).

How do I book the education centres?

Details on booking either Howe Park Wood or Linford Lakes Nature Reserve education centres can be found on their webpages.

Can our school use the Parks for events or activities without booking the Outdoor Education Team?

As we run many different activities across our parks network, it is helpful to know if a school is thinking of coming out in advance of their own activity.  To ensure there is no clash with another planned activity, you need to speak to the Events and Community Engagement team for permission.  Please follow the link for more information.

Do you have Risk Assessments?

We have risk assessments for our activities and Parks. Please note that organisers are responsible for their own risk assessments and will need to adapt these as they see fit.

Do you offer work experience placements?

Unfortunately, no. We are not able to offer this due to the other commitments of the Outdoor Learning team.

Do you offer Forest School activities?

We do not offer this directly.  However, if there is available space we could offer you some parkland to run this yourself.  You must have permission from the Events and Community Engagement Team, via this link.
