    POSITION

    EVENTS AND MARKETING OFFICER

    REPORTING TO

    EVENTS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

    LOCATION

    Campbell Park Pavilion, Milton Keynes MK9 4AD

    KEY OBJECTIVES

    Support the Events Team in developing and delivering the Trust’s events and activities programme

    Provide marketing and communications support for all events and activities in the parks to include marketing collateral and updating the website.

    Increase awareness and usage of the parks, and to raise the Trust’s profile and enhance its reputation through events and activities in the parks.

    Support organisations, groups and individuals to hold events and activities in the parks and ensure they abide by appropriate terms and conditions.

    DUTIES

    Ensure all events and activities in our parks are properly marketed organised, safe, well attended and enjoyable.

    Assist in the development of the events and activities programme.

    Manage and deliver identified internal events projects, both large and small with support from the Events and Community Engagement Manager.

    Setting up and taking down outdoor events which will involve periods of activity including physical tasks such as erecting gazebos, loading and transporting equipment.

    Promote the parks as venues for community, cultural, educational and creative activities.

    Ensure that events, sports and recreational activities are well promoted.

    Ensure that the activities and events programme responds to the wishes of the park users and potential park users.

    Represent the Trust at external events and be an effective advocate for the organisation.

    Work closely with the PR and Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to support marketing activities for events and activities which will include; updating the website, briefing and creating marketing collateral, briefing email campaigns, setting up customer surveys and analysing the performance of individual events.

    EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

    Essential

    Full driving licence.

    Flexible and adaptable, the role will involve some weekend and evening working.

    Experience of dealing with members of the public.

    Experience in the field of event management and marketing

    A successful track record of organising events and event production.

    A good understanding of health and safety, risk assessment and public liability matters.

    An outgoing and engaging personality.

    Well developed written and verbal communication skills.

    IT Literate.

    Desirable

    Experience of working with volunteers.

    A keen interest in and empathy with the work of the Trust.

    Experience of using website management systems and/or email marketing tools.

    Degree level education or qualifications in Event Management and/or project management.
