Statement on Coronavirus

Updated December 2021

The Parks Trust continues to operate in line with the current Government guidance and has extra precautions in place to keep our team and visitors safe.

For the latest information on Covid-19, please refer to the Government website: www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Please find our latest updates below;

Use of the parks

Please be considerate to others and follow social distancing in the parks. We ask that you keep 2 metres apart from people you do not know. We also ask that face coverings are used in indoor spaces including in our toilets and education centres.

If you feel unwell, or anyone in your household has symptoms, we ask that you please do not attend any of our parks and follow the Government guidance to self-isolate.

Events and activities

Whilst legal requirements for Covid-19 related restrictions to events end in England from Monday 19th July, we will still be keeping some of the restrictions in place to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and attendees. These restrictions include social distancing, regular hand washing, the wearing of face coverings in indoor areas and reducing the capacity of visitors to some of our larger events.

As spaces are limited, if you have booked for an event but you no longer wish to attend or you can’t because you are required to self-isolate, please get in touch with our team on events@theparkstrust.com as soon as possible.

Please refer to our what’s on page for the latest updates on events.

School sessions with our Outdoor Learning team are running in managed group sizes. Please contact outdoorlearning@theparkstrust.com to discuss your requirements.

For third party events and activities in the parks, please contact the company or organisation directly to discuss any restrictions which might be in place.

Play areas and outdoor gym equipment

Play areas and outdoor gym equipment are open. All equipment should be used at your own risk. Please supervise children and others in your care. Please remember to bring your own hand sanitiser to use before and after using the equipment and keep your distance from others to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Our work and our staff

The majority of our landscape maintenance work can continue as planned with some additional safety measures in place. We will continue to follow the latest government advice regarding safe working practices.

Our volunteers

For our volunteers who wish to participate, our volunteering programme is operating with Covid-19 secure measures in place. We ask that our volunteers only continue volunteering with us if they feel safe to do so and they are not having to self-isolate. Any enquiries relating to volunteering can be sent to volunteering@theparkstrust.com.

We will continue to follow latest government advice and will update our statements and website if anything changes.
