How to get here:
Caldecotte Lake is easy to reach with plenty of free parking. There is secure cycle parking, and as this is a later event public transport afterwards will be less available.
Good to know:
This is a longer walk at 10.7 kms, and since it takes place after dark, please be prepared. We’ll keep to a moderate pace, with breaks along the way to rest, regroup, and explore.
If this hike doesn’t feel like the right fit, take a look at our Women's Walking Network or Health Walks for other options.
The hike will run in all weather conditions, so dress appropriately, bring a drink and a snack, and make sure your footwear is suitable for varied terrain. It will also be dark so please bring a headtorch or similar to assist along the way.
Accessibility Information:
There are no public toilets at the starting point although you might be able to use the Pub/Hotel. We will pass some places where you may stop if needed.
The paths planned to be used on this hike vary from hard surfaces, through to muddy tracks and will likely be affected by the weather. We also use some of the tow path and expect it to be narrow and uneven in places. .
Please get in touch on events@theparkstrust.com if you require any further accessibility support or information.
Dogs are not permitted on these walks, except for assistance dogs.
No booking required - just come along, and we look forward to sharing the trail with you!
