Ever wondered what goes into looking after an ancient woodland? This is your chance to find out more about tree identification, management techniques and how the future is looking for our ancient woodlands. Led by our dedicated and passionate arborist, this walk will introduce you to the past, present and future of some of our city's most intricate habitats. You will also have a chance to work on your own tree identification skills with guidance from our team. 

This walk & talk will be taken at a leisurely pace. Shenley Wood is well paved throughout with no inclines, but some muddier patches (especially after periods of rain). There are benches dotted throughout the wood for resting. There are no toilets at this site. A hearing loop is available on request.
