Walking Festival: A Literary Walk in the Woods
Join MK Lit fest for this celebratory and literary walk in the woods!
Home to 22 million trees and rising - or is it growing? - Milton Keynes is proud to be 'a city in the forest'. Trees aren't just ubiquitous here, they've even lent their names to some of the city's districts: Peartree Bridge, Walnut Tree. Two Mile Ash... And MK's fondness for them in all their variety inspired the city's Literary Festival to set 'The Trees' as the theme for its sixth annual creative writing competition.
We are delighted to be partnering with MK Lit Fest to offer a free guided ramble through Howe Park Wood where you can hear some of the finest local writers reading their work, and showing us how the trees and woods look through their eyes and their imaginations.
The walk will be taken at a gentle pace, and will have rest stops along the way for listening to the work of the authors!
