Enjoy an immersive story telling event with the Red Phoenix as part of MK Walking Festival 2026.

In, The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer recounts a storytelling competition, which is filled with sex, drinking and retribution, by a set of fictious characters on a pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral. At this evening event, people will make their own pilgrimage around the Tree Cathedral in Milton Keynes stopping around the site to hear the stories, including, among others: the Wife of Bath’s tale about a salacious Knight of Arthur’s round table, the Pardoners’s tale of foolish fellows trying to outwit death, and of course the crude but hilarious Miller’s tale of adultery, backsides and comeuppance.

Please note that due to the subject matter and language used all attendees must be aged 16+. Any under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

After a fantastic first outing for this event last year we are bringing it back for 2026!! The Walking Festival programme features walks and events across the city over 5 days. If you have any questions about this event, please get in touch on events@theparkstrust.com.

Spaces are limited and booking is essential. Tickets cost £5 per person and go on sale 1st April at 9am.
