Walking Festival: Electra Walk and Glide from Fenny Stratford
Enjoy this lovely walk and glide with Electra as part of the Walking Festival 2026
We're super pleased to be partnering with Electra again for the Walking Festival 2026! Their circular tours on Electra Walk & Glide Cruises are a wonderful way to discover more of the hidden delights of Milton Keynes.
You can explore more parkland and countryside because you walk one way with a guide and then relax on a gentle cruise back on all-electric MK Community Boat Electra.
For the 2026 MK Walking Festival, Electra Walk & Glide routes explore the south of the city. Events are across the entire festival and start from Dobbies, Watling St bridge, Waterhall Park, or from the Three Locks in Soulbury.
Thursday 08 May afternoon (2pm-6.30pm)
Fenny Stratford to Campbell Wharf return
Meeting Point: Dobbies car park
What 3 Words: trim.shall.shiny
Pace: Moderate
Length:4.5 miles approx 2.5 hrs
This route is along redways and paved paths to Campbell Wharf. We pass Caldecotte Lake, Simpson, Woughton on the Green and Woolstone, and then join the canal towpath.
The two-hour cruise back winds peacefully through city estates and the smallest lock in the UK, arriving back by Watling St bridge in Fenny Stratford.
Electra is a 12-seater narrowboat, so places on each event are limited to 12 people. Places can be booked up to two hours before the start of each walk, but to be sure of a place it’s best to book early. Electra is run by volunteers to support the Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust, so there is a ticket charge.
Full information and online booking is on the Electra website.
