The Parks Trust are really pleased to share this event being organised by Shenley Brook End Parish Council as part of the Walking Festival 2026.
Starting from Howe Park Wood and exploring the area including the wood, Passive House, orchards and St. Giles Church. This event led by Parish Councillors will give you some history of the area, and the sights you see along the way.
The team from the parish hold regular walks for their residents and they're really pleased to open this one up to a wider audience for the walking festival.

Walk details: Moderate pace with stops along the way to regroup and discuss the interesting sights.
Distance: 3.2 kms or 2 miles
Accessibility Information: Toilets are available at the start / finish of the event, with a café if you want to refuel before or after the walk.
The route will use trails and paths around the woods, and surrounding parkland. It will include some road crossings on quiet roads.
More parking, and public transport options are available at Westcroft Centre which is a short walk away. There are also secure cycle locking facilities at the Education Centre.
This event is free but we're asking people to book tickets to attend.
