Walking Festival: Spring Apple Amble
This amble forms part of the 2026 Milton Keynes Walking Festival.
When Milton Keynes was founded, hundreds of fruit trees were planted in the gardens of new homes, in community orchards and in other public spaces, to allow residents and local communities the ability to forage for fresh fruit.
This gentle amble, led by a Mid Shires Orchard Group member, will explore the local areas around the Woughton on the Green Community Orchard to highlight these historic fruit trees and you will learn fascinating facts about the fruits found in the area.
These Golden Jubilee events are a great opportunity to meet the Mid Shires Orchard Group who care for the Woughton Cider Orchards, ask any questions you may have and learn from their incredible knowledge.
- Meeting point: The entrance to the Community Orchard, on Newport Road. What3Words location debit.each.fetch
