Willen Lake springs into action this Easter Holiday with a new free trail and the launch of the watersports season.

With spring-themed fun facts in abundance, the trail is made up of 16 boards themed with bunnies, chicks and other Springy bits. There are brain teasers and questions to get the little ones thinking, and a prize at the end for anyone who gets the answers right.

The trail will be available from 1 April– 16 April. It all starts at the Watersports Centre where you’ll collect an answer sheet, then follow the signs for a short route around the park. Don’t worry if you’ve got little legs in tow, the trail is under 2km and is on buggy, scooter and bike friendly paths.

In addition to the limited edition trail, adventure awaits at Treetop Extreme. The multi-level high ropes course is perfect for thrill-seeking families with its impressive grand finale - the exhilarating 13m Treetop Drop.

Take to the water with family-friendly introductory sessions in Paddleboarding, Kayaking and Archery. If you're after a bit more flexibility, turn up to the Watersports Centre to hire a pedalo or a double kayak .

Aqua Parcs will be back on the water with an extension to their inflatable course, the Willen Observation Wheel will be spinning, and Adventure Cycle Hire will be renting out their family-friendly quad bikes.

Whilst you're enjoying your day out, pop by the new bar and kitchen for a hot drink and tasty treats to keep you going. Each purchase helps support Change Please, a charity supporting people experiencing homelessness back in to work.

Rob Wood, General Manager of Willen Lake, says: “Following the popularity of our Hallowe’en Trail in October, we’ve worked hard to pull together another free trail for families to enjoy this Spring.

“We’re delighted to be getting visitors back on the water as our watersports season resumes this April. There’s plenty of choice in activities this Easter, offering hours of entertainment for families throughout the holiday.”
