Peace Pagoda Anniversary

Enjoy a special afternoon at Willen Lake North celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first Peace Pagoda in the western hemisphere.
The Milton Keynes Peace Pagoda was built by the monks and nuns of the Nipponzan Myohoji, a spiritual movement that promotes pacifism (non-violence). Local people also took part in the building, helping to create a sense of community in the early days of Milton Keynes.
This celebratory event on Sunday 21st of June will feature a Buddhist service followed by a programme of live acoustic music, prayers and speeches and food stalls.
All are welcome. The event is free to attend and is located at the Peace Pagoda.
