Every year we help around 6,000 people to learn about their local environment through outdoor learning sessions.
In addition to sessions run in our Parklands across Milton Keynes, the Parks Trust also runs two Education Centres - Howe Park Wood and Linford Lakes.
Our Centres are used for school group sessions, talks and workshops run by The Parks Trust. We also run free Open Days at these Centres during most holidays. Please see the Whats on Page for events coming up.
Howe Park Wood Education & Visitor Centre is the first publicly open general visitor facility operated by The Parks Trust in Milton Keynes. The Education & Visitor Centre was commissioned to provide a focal point for delivering environmental education activities and raise awareness of the natural history of both the SSSI at Howe Park Wood and more generally the natural history of Milton Keynes and work of The Parks Trust.
read moreLinford Lakes is a protected Nature Reserve and a hugely important site for wildlife in Milton Keynes. Unlike almost all our sites, we have to limit access to the site to enable the fragile ecosystems to be protected. We offer schools and community groups sessions at the Centre, and the Friends of Linford Lakes run Open Sundays every month.
