Orchard Foraging Walk
Celebrate Heritage Open Days with the Mid Shires Orchard Group and The Parks Trust on an amble through the Woughton on the Green Community Orchard to learn about the apple varieties and helpful foraging tips!
Please note: tickets for this event will be available from Tuesday 4th August at 09:00am.
This event is part of the 2026 Heritage Open Days schedule.
When Milton Keynes was founded, hundreds of fruit trees were planted in the gardens of new homes, in community orchards and in other public spaces, to allow residents and local communities the ability to forage for fresh fruit.
This gentle amble will explore the Woughton on the Green Community Orchard, and the surrounding local area, to highlight these historic fruit trees and foraging opportunities.
This walk will be led by a Parks Trust Volunteer and member of the Mid Shires Orchard Group who is incredibly knowledgeable about the care of the orchards and the apple varieties found in the area.
Time: 14:00 PM.
Please wear sturdy footwear and don’t forget to bring along some bags to carry home your foraged fruit!
All ages are welcome, but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
This walk is free but booking is required - we hope to see you there!
