Please note: tickets for this event will be available from Tuesday 4th August at 09:00am.

This event is part of the 2026 Heritage Open Days schedule.

On this wetlands wander you will learn about the history of heritage craft along the River Great Ouse, the plants and animals that can be found in these vital habitats and have a go at creating your very own mini cordage craft.

Time: 18:00 - 19:30 PM.

The walk will be at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops to look at wildlife and chat.

There is step-free access from the car park. The majority of the walk will take place on paved paths but we may venture into short grassland to spot certain plants or animals.

We may also cross a bridge which has a handrail - however the route can be adapted so please get in touch at wetlandarc@theparkstrust.com to discuss any accessibility requirements - we would love to make these sessions enjoyable for all.

There are a few benches on the route however these are sporadic so you may wish to bring a portable stool with you if required. There are also no toilets available at this site.

A hearing loop is available on request.

All ages are welcome but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
