
October Half Term Open Mornings
Join us to take part in fun nature-themed activities to find out about your local wildlife.
Come to our free autumn-themed open mornings to find out more about bats, spiders and fungi! These creatures are often misunderstood or overlooked, but they are essential to our ecosystems and are fascinating! Did you know that the largest living-thing on this planet is a fungi? Or that our common pipistrelle bat can eat up to 3000 insects in one night? Join our Outdoor Learning team and passionate volunteers to take part in fun activities to find out more, then venture into the woods to complete a self-guided trail.
The Open Mornings are from 9:30am to 12:30 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of half term, and take place at Howe Park Wood Education Centre, Tattenhoe, Milton Keynes, MK4 3GG. What3Words location pound.trespass.munched.
Please note that there is a pre-bookable craft session taking place at Howe Park Wood on the same day that is charged, but the Open Morning is free!
There are accessible toilets on this site and a café.

Howe Park is an ancient woodland which boasts a rich variety of wildlife and great facilities for families. Pop by the cafe and grab yourself a coffee before a stroll in the woods.
