There are lots of great ways to get around MK and the parks - on bike, e-bike and e-scooter. 

Lime Bikes

Lime Bikes are electric assisted bikes, equipped with a 250-watt motor and a rechargeable lithium battery, the convenient green bicycles help riders climb hills and cover long distances without breaking a sweat!

You can start your journey in three easy steps.

Locate  â€“ Use the Lime app to find the closest Lime-E to you.

Scan – To unlock a Lime-E, simply scan the QR code located on the handlebars or the seat panel using the Lime app

Ride – You’re ready to go! Wherever your Lime takes you, remember to obey all traffic laws and always drive safely. 

Lime Access membership offers a 50% discount on all their e-bike and e-scooter rides. You can qualify for Lime Access if you can show evidence you hold one of the following passes:

  • Jobcentre Plus Travel Card
  • Blue Light Card (for emergency service workers)
  • Student Card (NUS student card or institution specific)
  • Other free or discounted travel cards
  • Other eligible key worker IDs and passes

Dott Bikes

Dott bikes are electric-assisted bikes designed to make everyday journeys easier, greener, and more convenient. Equipped with a powerful electric motor and rechargeable battery, Dott bikes provide a smooth and comfortable ride, helping you travel longer distances and tackle hills with ease.

You can start riding a Dott bike in three easy steps:

Locate – Use the Dott app to find the nearest available Dott bike.

Scan – Unlock the bike by scanning the QR code with the Dott app.

Ride – You’re ready to go! Enjoy a quick, affordable, and sustainable journey. Remember to follow local traffic regulations, ride responsibly, and park in designated parking areas when you finish your trip.

Electric scooters in Milton Keynes

There are currently two operators of E-Scooters across MK as part of the ongoing trial in MK and across the UK. Lime and DOTT/Tier both operate in MK, and details can be found on the MKCC Get Around MK website.


Scooters are managed using GPS and have certain locations where they have slow speeds enforced, and also have areas where you cannot end a journey. 

When cycling or scooting in MK please follow the Redway Code 

Privately owned e-scooter are illegal to use anywhere other than private property and must not be used in any Park locations. 

All e-bike and scooter schemes are managed and licensed by Milton Keynes City Council. Products and providers may change so please check Get Around MK for more details.
