Women's Walking Network: Furzton Lake

Furzton Lake

Thursday 01 February
10-12pm
Free
Adults Only

Come along to our 2nd walk of the year with the Women’s Walking Network on Thursday 1st February at 10am. This route will be around Furzton Lake and Teardrop Lakes as our walk leaders take you on a 4.5-mile walk around the area.

Make sure to come dressed appropriately for the weather, with sturdy footwear. We would also advise you to bring something to drink. This site has publicly accessible toilets and a café.

The Women’s Walking Network is a great way to discover the hidden gems of Milton Keynes while encouraging women to come together and make new friends! Held on the first Thursday of every month, we visit a different park each month to give everyone the chance to explore all the green spaces we care for. Each walk varies in distance but are usually at least 3-4 miles in length and use a variety of footpaths including steps and slopes on occasion.

Please note that these walks are run at quite a brisk pace, so if you’re looking for something gentler, then we would recommend trying out an MK Health Walk or one of our Discovery Strolls.

Meeting location: Triple Star, Furzton Lake. What3Words ///childcare.budget.universes.

Unfortunately, we don’t accept dogs on the walks, with the exception of assistance dogs.

Booking is no longer required. We hope to see you there!

Furzton Lake’s open views make it a popular choice for joggers, cyclists and walkers. Created to act as a basin for floodwaters during rainy spells, the lake has matured into an easily accessible and peaceful oasis for local residents, office workers and wildlife.
