The Tree Cathedral

A special place for the interment or scattering of ashes

There is a unique cathedral in Milton Keynes, not made of bricks and mortar but of bark and leaves. Located in the midst of stunning parkland this tranquil space is available for those seeking a simple, natural and beautiful location for a loved one’s final resting place.

A peaceful haven, home to a variety of wildlife, The Tree Cathedral at Newlands provides a serene sanctuary and an entirely natural setting for the interment or scattering of ashes.

There are three distinct areas – the majestic Cathedral itself, the peaceful Cathedral Meadow or the quiet Woodland Walk.

Because we want to preserve and not detract from the very special nature of The Tree Cathedral we regret that we cannot allow gravestones, markers or other personal mementos on the site. If the memorial opportunities at the Tree Cathedral are not appropriate for you and you feel you would prefer a permanent memorial you may wish to consider other options in Milton Keynes.

Contrary to what many believe, Milton Keynes does have its own cathedral. But like the city itself, this cathedral is unique - made from bark and leaves rather than bricks and mortar.
