All welcome

This event is in the past. This page is for information purposes only.

Join us for a free celebration to launch our new, accessible park pre-visit guides!

AccessAble is a national scheme offering detailed information about the accessibility of a site, helping visitors to understand if it's going to be accessible to them. Their detailed access guides tell visitors all about a venue's access. They are 100% facts, figures and photographs.

We will enjoy presentations from:

  • The High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Kurshida Mirza, BEM
  • AccessAble Director, David Livermore on what AccessAble is all about.
  • The Parks Trust on our accessibility improvement project.
  • Disability Blogger, AccessAble Ambassador and Parks Trust Access Ambassador, Kerry Thompson on her experiences as a disabled person using AccessAble.

At this event, learn more about the scheme, open our Furzton Lake, Stanton Low and Great Linford Manor Park guides, and test them out around the park. There will be opportunity for networking with other local organisations and individuals, and complimentary refreshments.

Please note, a photographer will be present to capture images of the day. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know when you arrive.

Tickets: Please book one ticket per person attending, including carers and guardians.

Venue: The Italian Sul Lago, Furzton Lake, MK4 1FB, off the V4. We have exclusive use of the venue, which is all on one level. There is an accessible toilet. A hearing loop will be provided. If you require BSL interpretation, please let us know when you book so we can arrange an interpreter. A slideshow will be shown on a large TV screen and there will be verbal presentations. Please let us know if you have any additional requirements.

Toilets: An accessible toilet is available at the venue.

Parking: 3 blue badge spaces are located outside the venue. Immediately adjacent is a car park where bays are unmarked. The height barrier will be opened for this event meaning larger vehicles can enter. A gentle slope leads from the car park to the venue.

For further accessibility information, please refer to the AccessAble guide for Furzton Lake.

Please contact accessibility@theparkstrust.com with any queries. If you can no longer attend, please get in touch to cancel your ticket.
