Seasons & Senses (KS1)
Discover the world around you, using all of our wonderful senses!
Your group will be lead on a guided walk of one of our parks and given sensory challenges such as finding specific colours in nature, listing the sounds we can hear and searching for textures. We’ll even finish off with making our very own smelly potions!
Did you know that The Parks Trust look after 42 green spaces in MK? We can deliver our sessions in almost all of these parks - why not look at your local area and combine your trip with a walk to your nearest Parks Trust land.
How does this session link to the National Curriculum? (Key Stage 1)
- Identify, name, draw and label the basic parts of the human body and say which part of the body is associated with each sense.
- Observe changes across the four seasons.
- Observe and describe weather associated with the seasons and how day length varies.
