Develop contextual knowledge by exploring your a grid squares of Milton Keynes. Students will use geographical field work techniques to understand the processes involved in turning farmers fields into an area for housing, retail and recreation.
read moreAfter learning how to use a compass, students follow an ordnance survey map to try and find particular landmarks and features in an orienteering style challenge. This session will help to develop competency in interpreting a range of sources of geographical information.

read moreStudents get to try their hand at different observation, surveying and measuring techniques used by geographers and scientists to monitor species and understand the natural world. They will collect, analyse and communicate with a range of data.
read moreStudents learn survival skills through this bush craft themed session with an environmental message. This session develops understanding of how human and physical processes interact and our responsibility to recognise that the Earth is a source of limited resources. Through shelter building they will work objectively, modifying explanations to take account of new evidence and ideas and subjecting results to peer review.
