Wreath laying and 11am 2 minute silence for Armistice Day at Milton Keynes Rose.

There will be a beacon lighting in the evening of 11th November to commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War.  There will be short commemorative service from 6.45pm with choir and readings at the Milton Keynes Rose followed by lighting of the Campbell Park beacon and specially commissioned fire sculpture at 7pm. 
Park in the centre:mk car parks (John Lewis end) and use the footbridge which leads into the park.

There will be a photographer in attendance during the beacon lighting. The images taken may be used in our marketing and promotional materials. Please alert a member of our staff prior to the event starting if you are not happy to appear in any photos.

    The Milton Keynes Rose located in our central city park Campbell Park, is a public space designed for commemoration, celebration and contemplation. Developed in partnership by The Parks Trust and the Cenotaph Trust, with support from Milton Keynes Council, the Milton Keynes Rose was created as a central civic space to host events significance and occasions of remembrance.

    There are no refreshment facilities at this site but the cafes and restaurants located at centre:mk are just a short walk away.
