Book your bug hunting equipment for an hour at Howe Park Wood. Each set will include a sweep net, ID sheet and magnifying glass. Collect from us before venturing into the meadow, grassland or wood to start your adventure.

Please note, this is a self-led activity and parents must remain with their children. The cost is £2.50 for loan of 1 set of equipment for an hour. You can book up to 3 sets for each family group.

    Howe Park is probably the woodland mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086. Parts of it may be rare surviving fragments of the 'wildwood' that covered the whole of lowland Britain after the last Ice Age, 6-11,000 years ago.
