Make A Difference Day 2023
Floodplain Forest Nature ReserveSaturday 28 October
Come and join us for national 'Make a Difference Day' by getting involved in this Community Volunteering task to help your local parks and wildlife.
In June we collected wildflower seeds from the plants growing naturally in the wildflower meadows at Stonepit Field. For this task we will be sowing these seeds at another site, Floodplain Forest to help encourage pollinators and bring more colour to the site.
This will be a fairly gentle task so it is suitable for all ages, though children must be supervised at all times. Sturdy footwear is recommended as we will be off the paths and in the reserve itself. You are welcome to bring your own gloves if you have them, though these can be provided. There will also be an opportuntity to learn more about this unique nature reserve and it's wildlife as part of this task.
We will meet in the carpark at Manor Farm Court at 10am.
