Come and try orienteering at event in Campbell Park on Saturday 8 June with South Mids Orienteering Club.

Registration is open between 10am and 11.30am. There is the option to do just the morning course (starts 10-11.30am) or both the morning and the afternoon (starts 12pm-1.30pm).

Orienteering is an outdoor sport that exercises both your body and your mind. The aim is to navigate yourself from point to point round a course using a specially prepared orienteering map.

You can take part in a group or as an individual and you set your own pace. Our participants range from families with pushchairs through to speedy runners. Get your teenagers active or just enjoy a walk with a difference.

Our volunteer club members will be on hand to help you with the map before you set off and check you in when you finish.

The distance options on our courses at this event are 2km and about 3.5km.

We will have an accessible course available in the morning session. The whole course is on tarmac paths, suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and is approximately 2km. There is a slight incline at start of the course.

Meeting Point: The assembly area will be next to the Grand Union Canal at the eastern end of Campbell Park. Nearest postcode: MK9 4AD what 3words: treatable/finest/puncture.

There is free parking beside Silbury Boulevard, along the north side of Campbell Park. what3words: fashion/applauded/tonsils. Should this fill up, there is ample paid parking around the shopping centre. Use the purple bays which cost 50p per hour. (Please do not park in the Parks Trust Offices car park).

There will be dedicated blue badge parking spaces next to the assembly area and start. We will have accessible toilets next to assembly area.

There will be toilets (including an accessible toilet) at this location but no refreshments.

All participants should wear clothing and footwear suitable for the exercise and weather conditions, and under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult on courses which cross roads.

Individuals and families £6. We take cash or card payments. No booking required - we hope to see you there!
