This event is in the past. This page is for information purposes only.

Join us for a short wander through the woods with your tots aged 0-5. We will explore the ancient woodland at Howe Park Wood and chat about the things we see along the way, stopping to use our senses to explore our surroundings.

This walk will be supported by a member of our Outdoor Learning Team who will guide the group through the woods on an exploratory adventure!

This short walk is in association with Tree Tots - our child-led free-play sessions which take place each Thursday morning at Howe Park Wood

Please come dressed appropriately for the weather as we believe children should have the opportunity to experience the wild outdoors - rain, sun and snow! We only cancel if there is extreme weather, such as very high winds, and you will be sent a notification on those rare occasions. Please note that at this time of year the woods can get very muddy so wearing waterproof boots and clothes that you don't mind getting mucky is recommended. Please layer up to keep warm in cold weather. We will be using a woodchip path which can become boggy following wet weather so please bear this in mind if you are hoping to bring a buggy. We would like to make these events enjoyable for all so please email to discuss any accessibility requirements.

The walk will start at 1.45pm and finish around 2.30pm. Free accessible car parking is available close to the meeting point. Accessible toilets with changing facilities are available, as well as a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks should you wish to continue your visit after the walk.

Tickets cost £1 per person (for children and adults). Babies under 6 months are more than welcome and do not need to book a space.

Spaces are limited so book today to secure your place!
