Walking Festival: Introduction to Orienteering
Ouzel Valley Park
Sunday 12 MayCome and try orienteering at our local event at Ouzel valley Park on Sunday 12th May. Start any time between 10am and 12pm.
Orienteering is an outdoor sport that exercises both your body and your mind. The aim is to navigate yourself from point to point round a course using a specially prepared orienteering map.
You can take part in a group or as an individual and you set your own pace. Our participants range from families with pushchairs through to speedy runners. Get your teenagers active or just enjoy a walk with a difference.
Our volunteer club members will be on hand to help you with the map before you set off and check you in when you finish.
The distance options on our courses are usually 2-3 km, 4-5km and 8-10km.
