Explore Linford Wood in a new way - engaging your senses to heighten your awareness of the natural world. We are championing ‘more green and less screen time’, providing a session of interactive activities designed to engage and wow your senses. Take some time to discover and reconnect with the natural world that surrounds us, challenging yourself to touch, see, listen and smell everything within the ancient woodland. This session is specifically aimed at families to provide time to both engage and relax. Take this morning to slow down and enjoy time with one another in a meaningful way while also getting more in touch with nature.

Enclosed in the year 1264 by Baron Von Pippard, the original owner of the Linford Manor estate, Linford Wood is the largest and oldest of the Trust's three ancient woodlands. Despite its location close to the city centre, Linford Wood provides a tranquil haven for wildlife and people. Find out more about how we manage Linford Wood by clicking here.

There are no facilities within the wood but hot and cold drinks and other refreshments are available from the BP garage on the west side of the wood.
